Updated over 10 months ago

This article applies to:

Problem description

When attempting to deploy the AWS Proxy using the CloudFormation template, the CloudFormation Stack shows “Create Failed” when attempting to create the instance for the Druva Phoenix AWS Proxy.

Error:

While deploying the proxy manually, the below error is displayed.

Cause

  • This error can occur if the AWS account was recently created. To prevent any mistakes in deploying instances, Amazon limits the number of instances you can create when you are starting out.

  • Also, if it is a first EC2 instance deployment on a newly created account AWS requires you to create a small instance before a larger C5.2xlarge instance can be deployed.

Resolution

Contact AWS Tech Support to increase the number or type of instances that can be deployed.
