Overview
This article explains how to collect debug logs when the first backup proxy deployment fails using the First Proxy Deployer Tool. These logs are essential for troubleshooting and can be shared with the Druva Support team for further analysis.
You can collect logs using two methods:
Auto-generated logs via the Proxy Deployer Utility
Manual collection from the system’s Temp folder
1. Auto-Generated Logs Collection
The Proxy Deployer Utility provides a built-in option to download logs.
Steps:
Open the Druva Proxy Deployer Utility.
Click on Download Logs.
Once logs are downloaded, you will see a confirmation message:
"Logs downloaded successfully to the downloads folder on your computer."Navigate to your Downloads folder. You will find a zipped log file with the format:
DruvaProxyDeployerLogs.<Timestamp>.log.zip
NOTE: The timestamp helps identify the exact time of log generation.
2. Manual Log Collection
If the Download Logs button is unresponsive or logs are not downloaded automatically, you can collect them manually from your system.
Steps:
Navigate to the following folder location:
C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Temp
Note: The location might vary if you chose a different temporary folder due to low disk space.
Open the folder path:
C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Temp\ProxyDeploy\<Deployment_Number>\Logs
Example:
If the deployment number is 21260, then the logs would be located in:C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Temp\ProxyDeploy\21260\Logs
Zip the entire Logs folder.
Share the zipped log file with the Druva Support team for further analysis.
