Here is a quick overview video:

Step 1: Get Started with Druva

  1. Log in to the Management Console with the credentials you received in the invitation email.

For more information, see Get Started.

Step 2: Register SAP HANA servers

  1. Read the prerequisites for installing the Hybrid Workloads agent on the SAP HANA Server host.

  2. Install the agent on SAP HANA servers.

  3. Activate the Hybrid Workloads agent to establish a connection between the Druva Cloud and the agent. This step also registers the new server host on the Management Console.

  4. To complete this step:

    1. Generate an activation token from the Management Console.

    2. Activate the Hybrid Workloads agent on the server using the activation token.

Step 3: Discover Databases

  1. Discover databases on the SAP HANA Server host registered with Druva in Step 2. The discovered databases are listed on the All Databases page. This process is automatic. However, you can trigger discovery on-demand as well.

  2. Authenticate these databases to configure them for backup.

Step 4: Configure Hybrid Workloads for SAP HANA

Configure databases to prepare for backup. This step involves two steps:

  1. Select storage.

  2. Select administrative group.

Step 5: Configure backup settings from SAP HANA Cockpit

Using SAP HANA Cockpit, configure the backup settings. This step ensures that the Backint executable is correctly set up.
