Issue: Google Workspace backup fails with EPERMS error

Reason

You have not logged on to Google through a Google super administrator account. Alternatively, you have used a non-super administrator account to log on to Google or you are not an active user in Google.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, ensure the following items:

  • You use the Google Super Administrator account for configuring inSync to integrate with Google Workspace.

  • You have not logged on through any other Google account while configuring inSync with Google Workspace.

Ensure you grant all permission under the OAuth client for the Druva app.


Issue: No Content Backed up yet

No Content Backed up yet message is displayed in the following scenarios:

1. If the selected Shared Drive is in the Not Configured state.

To resolve this issue, configure the selected Shared Drive for storage and backup frequency.

2. If the selected Shared Drive is enabled for backup, but, backup is not initiated for that Shared Drive.

To resolve this issue, initiate a backup for the selected Shared Drive.

Issue: Shared Drive backup fails with EAUTH error

Reason

  • You have an inactive member or a Group with an inactive member in your Shared Drive.

  • Shared Drive member does not have Content Manager or Manager permission.

  • The app distribution is not enabled for All organizational units.

  • The Super Administrator account used to configure Google Workspace is not listed in the Organization Unit for the given Shared Drive.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

  • Ensure that you have at least one active member or a Group with at least one active member in your Shared Drive.

  • Check if the Shared Drive member has Content Manager or Manager permission.

  • The app distribution is enabled for All organizational units.

  • The Super Administrator account used to configure Google Workspace is listed in the Organization Unit for the given Shared Drive.

Issue: How to resolve EPERMS for Google Workspace

Reason

  • Customer has configured the Druva Google Application but are still seeing EPERMS errors on Mailboxes, Google Drives and Shared Drives

  • Google Workspace Druva app was only configured for Admins and not All Users.

Resolution

Make sure that the Druva App Distribution is On for everyone.

This can be found on admin.google.com

  • On the left, expand Apps

  • Then expand Google Workspace Marketplace Apps

  • Click on Apps List

  • Search for Druva inSync for Google Workspace.

  • Then User Access

  • Click on the Druva inSync for the Google Workspace App.

  • Click on View organizational units and groups

  • Verify if the app is on for everyone across the company or only an OU
