VMWARE VM Restore Fails Due to Insufficient Storage Space

Traceback:

[2024-07-26 17:18:02,631] [ERROR] Error in process client command with msg: Error in restore process : Not enough space available for restore. (#100010011) (Error Code : VMWARE17)

Cause

This issue occurs when the destination location does not have sufficient free storage space.

Resolution:

  1. Verify Available Space:

    • Ensure that the selected restore destination has enough free storage to accommodate the data being restored.

    • Compare the size of the data being restored with the available free space at the destination.

  2. Switch to a Different Location:

    • If the current destination lacks sufficient storage, select a different location with adequate space.

    • Alternatively, restore to the original location if it meets the storage requirements.

  3. Retry the Restore:

    • After confirming sufficient space, re-initiate the restore operation.
