Problem description
VMware Application-Aware SQL transaction log backup reports a canceled status even though it has run successfully multiple times on the scheduled interval.
Cause
The Log Backup job has been superseded by the upcoming Full Backup job, and therefore canceled as seen in the following screenshot.
Resolution
No resolution is needed as this is functioning as designed. The successful jobs can be verified by reviewing the job logs on the Management Console as shown in the following screenshot:

This design is in place to make the Jobs page look more legible.
