How to perform CloudRanger sync operation
Updated over a week ago

CloudRanger Sync is used to synchronize your AWS environment with Druva CloudRanger. This is important when you have created a new EC2 instance, RDS instance, or a Redshift cluster in your AWS environment, and want them to be available under Resources on your Druva CloudRanger console. Sync is also useful to remove stale Resources that are still visible on your console, although they have already been removed from your AWS environment.

Sync is useful especially when you want to back up a newly created resource using Druva CloudRanger, allowing you to add it directly to a backup policy using the resource name.

Sync Druva CloudRanger with your AWS environment

  1. Log into the Druva CloudRanger console.

    Sync AWS 1a.PNG
  2. Click the Sync icon. The AWS account sync process starts for all the resources.

    Sync AWS 2.png
  3. Click Start to initiate the Sync.

    Sync AWS 5.png

Once the synchronization is complete, all resources are highlighted with a green checkmark. This validates that your resources on Druva CloudRanger are now synchronized with your AWS account.
