Ensure High Availability
Updated over a year ago

High availability eliminates single points of failure and improves the resiliency and reliability of failover. Even when the primary storage region is down or unavailable, high availability enables seamless failover and recovery, ensuring that new data backups are still managed from the secondary storage, with no associated downtime.

To ensure high availability of the primary storage region, an associated secondary region, that is us-west-2 must be available and active.

To enable and verify the secondary regions associated with your endpoints, navigate to Identity and Access Management > Account Settings on your AWS management console and ensure that the secondary region is set to Active.
