Overview
The Restore Summary Card on the Endpoints/ Microsoft 365/ Google Workspace Dashboard provides a high-level overview of all restoration activities associated with your organization.
The restore statistics are consolidated across Endpoints, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace. Because the data is synchronized, the total restore summary numbers displayed will be identical, regardless of whether you access the Endpoint, Microsoft 365, or Google Workspace dashboard.
It also reflects the cumulative all-time data (including deleted entities), while Activity Reports focus on current, time-bound records.
Let us understand the logic for the difference in Restore Summary card data number and Restore Activity Report.
Comparison: Restore Card vs. Activity Report
The following table outlines the differences between the Restore Summary Card and standard activity reporting to help you interpret your organization's metrics correctly.
Feature | Restore Summary Card | Restore Activity Report |
Primary Purpose | Historical aggregate / Total impact | Operational auditing / Recent status |
Workload Visibility | Displays identical numbers across Endpoints, M365, and Google Workspace dashboards | Specific to the workload report |
Data Scope | Includes deleted devices & users | Shows Current/existing devices & users only |
Time Range | All-time data | Shows data as per the set timelines. |
While both metrics are accurate within their respective contexts, they track different data sets. Consequently, a direct comparison between them would be misleading.
