Upgrade the Agent or Proxy using the Enterprise Workloads Management Console
Upgrade the Agent or Proxy using the Enterprise Workloads Management Console

This topic describes how you can upgrade your agents/proxies in just one click.

Updated over a week ago

You can now upgrade multiple agents or proxies, for different workloads, to the latest versions in one click, from the Management console.

You can upgrade multiple agents or proxies:

  • For multiple organizations

  • Within an organization

You can select specific workloads or organizations for which you want to upgrade the agents/proxies.

The Overview page lists the number of agents/proxies deployed, how many of the deployed agents/proxies are upgradable, and the number of agents/proxies that are not connected.

When you select a workload, you can see a list of all deployed agents/proxies. Under the Version column, you can view the version and current status for each agent, whether it is upgradable or not. You can also see the connection status of each agent/proxy, the operating system it is deployed on, and other related details.

📝Note: This update is currently available for VMware, FS, NAS, MS SQL, and HyperV only.

Procedure:

  1. Log in to the Management Console.

  2. If organizations are not enabled, select Agents and Proxies from the Manage menu.

  3. If organizations are enabled, you can select to upgrade agents for all organizations. Alternatively, you can select a specific organization from the top navigation menu, if you want to upgrade agents for that particular organization. Then, select Agents and Proxies from the Manage menu.

  4. Select the workload and then you can select all or specific agents/proxies that you want to upgrade and click Upgrade.

  5. On the confirmation dialog box, click Yes, Upgrade.

📝Note: It is recommended to upgrade a small number of agents/proxies and monitor the behaviour before proceeding to a bulk upgrade.
